Project Name: Masr Topia Funded by: PMU Inter Life Sweden Number of Episodes: 13 episodes Episode duration: 15 minutes Masrtopia is a small island with no regulations, people on this island couldn’t live together and couldn’t solve their conflicts and problems; that’s why they perished and the island was left deserted. During the camp,children had to work together in order to rebuild the identity and rules of this island. This project aimed to create and maintain an awareness of the religiously different ‘other’ that surpasses misconceptions and promote a culture of peace and social cohesion, especially among children.
The aim of the project was to offer a camp program for children which promotes the importance of the democratic values and accepting the others from different (religious, political views, cultures, classes), also building their individual characters, confidence and skills through a wide range of activities and workshops.
